Let's Look At Paris From 360 Degrees

Hey there!🖐Let's talk about AR/VR and my new task.

AR (Augmented Reality) provides using 3D objects in the real world, while VR (Virtual Reality) provides 3D objects in a virtual reality. They are both efficient technologies for our daily lives. For example, we can visit places from all over the world without spending money, see how a coach will look in our living room, etc. However, they have bad sides too like causing social isolation if we use them excessively, and some health problems because of the radiation.

Our task was producing teaching materials by integrating AR/VR technologies. We were given two options, and we chose the ''exploring a city abroad'' option as a group of four. We did our assignment by talking on the phone together, dividing our parts. Everyone did what they had to do, so we had no challenges in this task. We used Canva for our design, and we used https://360stories.com/paris/place/cathedral-notre-dame-de-paris, https://mekan360.com/sanaltur_eiffel-tower-eyfel-kulesi_1150.html, https://www.louvre.fr/visites-en-ligne/petitegalerie/saison3/ sites for 360 degrees views.

We introduced two landmarks and a museum from Paris, and our students can view each from 360 degrees. Besides providing QR and link for each, we also introduced each and prepared some questions. At the end, we added a famous food from Paris and a postcard task for our students. Then, we got feedback from another group and made some changes to our material.

In my future classes, I will definitely use AR/VR because, as visuals, entertaining and interesting activities, and economical materials, they're inevitable since I believe my future students will be able to understand the topic better if they see objects from a closer side.

Here is our material and lesson plan. ↓
